“Our unnoticed blessings? Tow Law. – We have had upwards of twenty Lantern Services during the winter season, which have been very interesting and instructing. The last one, entitled 'Slumlife”, beautyfully illustrated by slides, kindly lent for the pupose by Headquaters, showed the truth of the saying 'That one half of the world does not know how the other half lives.” It also showed us how thankful we ought to be to God for giving us such comfortable homes etc., which many of our fallen Brothers and Sisters have not yet got. On Wednesday, April 8, we had a very intersting Lecture given by the Vicar, upon the 'New Photography” followed by a Coffee supper, kindly given by the friends of the Mission, when upwards of 150 sat down and all of them seemed to enjoy it. We cleared a profit altogether of a little over £ 5, which went towards the funds of the Mission.”
