“Grasp every spiritual chance. Stanford-in-the vale and Goosey – We are very grateful to God for the great spiritual blessings we have received here this Easter. On Monday, March 30, we had a special Lantern Service (subject 'Gethsemane to Calvary”) when our school was quite full. Our good Vicar opened the Service by prayer, the Captain gave the address, specially appealing to all to give to God a return for His great love their poor sinful hearts, and when tempted and tierd by the ennemies of our souls to 'think of the sufferings of Christ”. At Goosey, the following evening, the same subject was given, when the school was again filled. Many have, both Stanford and Goosey, expressed their great thanks (both dissenters and Church people) for the spiritual helps they received at these services. We also thank God for the work still going on; many are showing signs of God’s Holy Spirit 'working in their death”, and to renew strength to their souls to battle against the world the flesh, and the Devil. Dear GAZETTE reader, have you been to His Holy Table this Easter? If not, you have lost another golden opportunity. But don’t desplair, though all the past opportunities are gone for ever, yet Christ says, 'Come now.” It will help you. Resolved by His grace that you will grasp every spiritual chance. God gives you, and your future life will be one of real happiness and peace.”
