“We entertain our friends. Wolverley; Kidderminster. – This village was quite alive on Monday evening, Feb. 24, on account of the C.A. Mission Tea that was being held, as well as by the Lantern Entertainment that followed. The tea was provided by the laldies at Wolverley, and no pains were spared on their part to make it attractive and nice. About 160 sat down to tea, and there were some who could not get admission for want of room. By invitation, Capt. Caughey (Stourport), Capt. Crabtree (Dudley), Capt. Matthews (Hon. Capt. Of Kidderminster), and Cadet Could, of the Worcester van, were present and took part in the meeting. We had an open-air meeting, giving the villagers a thorough rousing up. We then sang back to the schoolroom, to listen to a beautiful story with Lantern Views, which our Vicar and friends kindly gave us, entitled, ' The Golden Lillies.” We thanked our Vicar most heartly for presiding, and especially for giving the C.A. such a reception in his parish. After closing with prayer, all joined in the Doxology and parted.”
