“Not exactly snails. Nugerford, St. Laurence. – Capt. Davey’s visit to these parts was very much appreciated by all who had the privilege of attending the meetings. ON Jan. 25 Lantern Views were shown for the children and afterwards to the adults on the Social work. Pur Vicar presided, a goodly number of people being present. He said he had not realised before that the work was so great. On Sunday, the 26th, a Gospel Address was given by Capt. Davey et Anville’s, in the barn. It was a grand siht to see the people bringing their own seats on their backs. In the Evening a Gospel Address was given in the National School. Monday, Jan. 27, Hungerford Newtown was favoured by Capt. Davey, accompanied by Capt. And Mrs. Hatton. We believe much good was done. We are looking forward to another visit soon from Capt. Davey.
