“Dead! Dead! No! – Ephesians jj. 1. Stowmarket. – We are very thankful for the Lord’ blessing on us here. We are having the times – many attend our meetings who nerver attended a place of worship – souls are being saved, Christians are strengthened. On Saturday we had a C.A. Tea, our good Vicar and his wife with us; they gave us encouragment with their substance and counsel. We wish there were more like them. Our Curate was caled away suddenly to take duty elsewere, but his wife was with us and helped. Our poor brothers and sisters last, but not least, gave us nobly, and helped in all ways. We thank God for some good workers, with bright faces and changed hearts. We are looking forward to having a good time at the Confirmation, Feb. 29; Enrolement Service, March 1 (we hope) by the Bishop of Norwich. If you want to see how Christians can enjoy themselves come to our meetings. On Sunday last our Vicar gave a very powerful address to us. Monday night Lantern Service was a time of much enjoyment, our Vicar speaking to us on the slides, followed by a Coffee Supper at 9 o’clock. We then returned home praisnig God. F.B., for Capt. Southam.””
