Davey, who joined us in the Prayer Meeting at 8 p.m. […] On Monday he gave us two Lantern Lectures - one at 3.30 for children, entitled 'Little Joy's Mission,' and the other a 7.30, for adults, on the C.A. Social Work, which was very interesting. The hall was packed, and all seemed very pleased with the lecture. The Chair was taken by the Vicar, who, in a short closing address, spoke of the good the C.A. Social Work and Labour Homes had done throughout the land. the Collections amounted to 17s. 6 d., which was given to the Social Work.”
