“The saviour of gipsies: On Tuesday, the 10th inst., a very successful entertainment, consisting of readings with limelight views, was given in the Mission Room, at High Heath. The subject was entitled, 'The Dying Saviour and the Gipsy Girl,' and was listened to throughout with every attention by a large audience. Captain Sargent must have felt highly gratified with the appreciation shown by the residents at High Heath on the occasion, and it is hoped that before long a similar entertainment will be given, as it is sure to meet with success. The same subject was given during the week in the Parish School Room, also at Clayhanger, by the energetic Captain, and was in those places also, well received.”
