“After the storm, a calm: During the past nine weeks we have been having some very good meetings here. The mission church at Pamber Heath is generally quite full. This is due to the magic-lantern, which proves a great attraction, and much blessing has followed the services. It was impossible to hold a concert there last year, the noise was so great, and the conduct so bad, that when the concert was about half through it had to be given up. We were afraid that our Lantern Services were going to suffer a like fate, they were so very noisy the first night. Nevertheless, we got through, and in answer to prayer, God has wrought so great a change that there is not the slightest fear of any interruption now. At Monk Sherborne and Little London the congregations have been very orderly and well conducted throughout.”
