MURCER, Mrs   (fl. 1890s) – lecturer

Reference

“'Twelve Thousand Souls': On Tuesday evening a very pleasant time was spent by 400 of our poorest children in the schoolroom at a Robin Dinner, the funds for which were sent by Dr. Bullock, and readers of Home Words, for the third year. While cacao was prepared, crackers were given out. What a bustle of exitment and laughing. When cacao came in, all were ready. All heartily enjoyed the magic lantern which followed given by Mrs. Murcer. (...) Our Band of Hope is now over 180; temperance over 100 to nearly 500; also the Church firmer and stronger, and all meetings better.”
