“New friends: Captain Grummet, the C.A. officer stationed at Henley-on-Thames, came over here and asked if he may give a Magic Lantern to the school children, with the result that on Tuesday, January 30, the School was filled with children from the village, who quite enjoyed themselves. Capt. Grummett was assisted by the Vicar (the Rev. T. H. Wrenford), who worked the lantern. At the close the Vicar handed the Captain a cheque for a guinea, towards the work of the C.A. at Headquarters, and expressed his desire to have another lantern with the slides of the Church Army's work. ”
