“'How to Get 300 People To a Gospel Meeting': We have just concluded a week's special Magic Lantern Mission, Headquarters kindly supplying the slides and Mr. Shackelton, a friend of our C.A. Corps, printing the bills free of cost. The attendance was – Wednesday evening, 200 children; Thursday, 50 adults; Friday, 20 adults; Saturday, 45; Sunday evening 300; and Tuesday, 70. Results have been (i) Fresh faces brought in, (ii) about ₤1 extra collections netted, (iii) a decided change from the ordinary services, and chief of all, believe it has resulted in souls blessed. Our Curate, Rev. A. Webb, explained the pictures on three of the evenings, and his son, Master E. Webb, each worked the double lanterns. We hope to have another somtime in February.”
