“Saturday, 28th, an excellent service of song was given by a choir of young folks, under the leadership of Mr. Gibbons and Mr. Allcock, the magic-lantern being worked by Mr. H. Hall; subject, 'Her Benny.' Dr. Armstrong took the chair. We had a very full room, and the good sum of 21.7s was obtained for the work of the C. A. Many thanks to our kind friends for coming forwards to help us.”
