“On November 18th we had an excellent magic-lantern entertainment. In spite of wet weather, the schoolroom was crowded long before the time of commencing. The entertainment lasted from 7.30 P.M. until 9.15 P.M. Mr. Poore managed the lantern, while Captain J. Kelly read 'Christie's Old Organ.' Every one seemed to be thoroughly pleased, and prayer and praise were heartily joined in. We are extremely obliged to all those who have in any way helped us. After the meeting, a good collection was made, which will be given to the Vicar with the other donations.”
