COMER, Captain (fl. 1890s) – lecturer
“Good Friday was a day long to be remembered, beginning with a C.A. Breakfast, at which over forty attended, including our vicar. (...) In the afternoon the 'Story of the Cross' was shown with the lantern by the Captain, while the Vicar conducted the meditation. 'Awonderful treat,' said one; while 'I would not have missed it for anything,' was bthe verdict of another. The room was packed. Ten shillings and three-halfpence was the collection at the door.”
