“One Soul who has long been striving has been enabled to make a decided confession on faith in the Lord Jesus. On Monday evening, 26th, we were able through the kindness of numerous friends, to give a meat tea to 113 poor children. After tea, Mr. Stott, a local friend, gave a magic lantern entertainment – subject 'Christie's Old Organ' - which was much appreciated by children and parents. A short after-meeting, in which we considered the 'good old way', brought an enjoyable evening to a close.”
