‘Provincial Bands of Hope’ in Band of Hope chronicle

“Auckland, New Zealand.-'Jessica's First Prayer' as a service of song, with dissolving view illlustrations, was given by the Auckland Band of Hope Union, in the Choral Hall. The readings were given by Mr. Thomas Spurgeon, the son of the respected pastor of the Metropolitan Tabernacle. The service in every respect was a great success, and yielded a profit of £25 for other operations.”
