“Illustrated Lectures. The Dissolvieng Views and Panoramas belonging to the Society continued to prove of great service. About £100 was expended during the year in the purchase of new Slides and making good stock, which is now of very considerable value. The Lectures make a most pleasing variety in the programmes of Societies, and when, as is often the case from the excellence of the pictures and lectures, they are engaged by Sunday Schools and other Institutions for the young, a good opportunity is afforded of conveying Temperance teaching. 324 Lectures were given during the year, 59 more than in the preceding year.”
