“This series has been arranged by Martin J. Sutton, Esq., of Reading, Fellow of the Linn. Soc., and Member of the Councils of the Royal Agricultural Society and Bath and West and Southern Counties Society, and the slides are taken from the fine illustrations in his work on 'Permanent and Temporary Pastures.'

The odd numbers in the following list show the whole plant, root, stem and flower; while the even numbers give a description of the grass and a magnified drawing of the seed with and without chaff.
