“'Packed Out': The Peterborough No. I Church Army Van paid its first visit to this parish recently. The mission services were held in the Church Room, and the lantern services in the Star Hall, at the disposal of the missioners by Miss Mackworth-Dolben. Most of the week-night mission services were well attended and on both Sunday evenings the room was 'packed out'. The lantern services for adults and two for children were given in the Star Hall. The number's at the children's services ranged from five to seven hundrerd. The behaviour, however, was very good, and the children answered very readily to Capt. Neal's catechising. The adult lantern services were also well attended and much appreciated. The numbers at the last two reaching to about 300. (...)”
