“'Round the Pole': A three weeks hop-picking mission has just been completed in our parish, under the guidance of Capt. Johnson. Open-air services and magic lantern have been held nearly every evening. (...) On the three Sunday evenings Capt. Johnson conducted the service in St. Mary's Church Room at Sole Street, and on Thursday evening magic lantern services were held. Good congregations attended each time (...)”
