“'Introducing ourselves': A lantern lecture took place on Tuesday, in St. Peter's Mission and a very blessed time we had, the room being full of working men, who gave over 12s to the C.A. Labour Home. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the vicar for the use of the room, and to Mr. Lang, who brought and worked his own lantern and gave gas for free. The lecture was repeated on Friday at the Mission to Seamen. (...)”
