“'More than double.' Rawdon, near Leeds. - The 'Ripon' I. C.A. Van, in charge of Captain T. Smith and his helpers (Jeffries and Wilson), has just concluded a successful three weeks' mission in this parish. The evangelistic services and lantern lectures have been throughout well attended. The week-night services at the church have been attended by more than double as many as usual, and the earnest addresses of Capt. Smith and his colleagues (in the school) have been much appreciated, and, I hope, have brought conviction of sin and conversion to many hearts. Capt. Smith has given address at the mothers' meeting, the young men's and young women's Bible classes, and the parish has been regulary visited, and a good amount of wholesome literature has been disposed of. At the closing meeting about 100 memorial cards were ggiven out. I am very thankful for the help I have received, and for the good work which has - I believe - been accomplished, and I look forward with holpfulness to see permanet results of the mission, and shall be glad of future help by the Van whenever it can come again. With prayers for God's blessing on C.A. work. S.H. Millis, M.A., Vicar of Rwadon.”
