Slide set: The world: before the coming of man (lecture: Newton & Co., 180 slides, in/before 1937)

Supplementary list of lantern slides (London: Newton & Co., 1937), 16

“A companion series to the 'Prehistoric Man' set mentioned below. Illustrating the formation of the world, according to the latest geological evidence, from Nebula to Man, through all the periods, with their accompanying Fauna and Flora. About 180 Slides, including the fine Restorations of Extinct Monsters, after Hutchinson, Knipe, and others, and photographs of the skeletons and remains.

[For both this and its companion set]:

We would draw special attention to the following two sets on 'Prehistoric Man' and 'Before Man.' They are entirely new, and bring our knowledge up-to-date.

Owing to the increasing demands for this subject we have published these revised Lectures from the series in Section 4, page 259.

The very interesting Lectures written for us are by Rev. Father J.S.M. Ward, who has built the restorations of prehistoric dwellings of full size in the grounds of the Abbey Folk Park. There are enough Slides and sufficient matter in the printed Lectures for expansion into three Lectures, or a course of six short School Lectures on each subject.”
