Slide set: Kamdene, Barnesburie, and D'Alston's tour in the North (story: G.W. Wilson, 28 slides, 1888-1892)

Known references to this set
Catalogue of optical lantern slides (Bradford: Riley Brothers, 1905), 90

“Known formerly as Highland Pastimes.

This is a most interesting and amusing account of the tour of three Englishmen in the Land o' Cakes. Two of them dressed in kilt and sporran, and were the objects of much interest and chaff in the North. Their shooting and fishing adventures are told in a most racy style, which bristles with puns. There is not a stale picture nor a dry sentence in the whole.”

Descriptive catalogue of lantern slides: available for hire or purchase (London: Walter Tyler, 1909), 643

“From Sketches by Ralston. Describes the adventures of three Cockney tourists in the 'Land o' Cakes'.”
