Slide set: A ballad of the sea (recitation: Bamforth & Co., 6 slides, 1892)

Individual slides contained in this set (listed below slide images)
Slide 1**
Cheer up, dear heart! the morning will find me home again / With boat well-filled with mack'rel; farewell, my love, till then
Slide 2**
She stands like a statue, watching him spring down the rugged way / That winds by the dangerous cliff-side to the calm, secluded bay
Slide 3**
Hark! what is that? O heaven! do I hear the tempests roar? / O God! can it be the thunder of the breakers on the shore?
Slide 4**
Then down that slippery pathway, which winds by the steep cliff-side / She rushes with heedless footsteps, and never a thought beside
Slide 5**
She reaches the bay wild and breathless, her hair streaming out in the wind, / Her eyes starting out from their sockets, unhinged and bewildered in mind
Slide 6**
And e'en when her eyes re-open, and thought reassumes its place, / She scarcely believes her vision of John bending over her face
