He sells flowers for a livelihood, and manages to get along for a few days. He meets a young lad who takes a fancy to him and invites him to come along with him. Teddy accepts and lodges with Bill. While flowers are in season he continues selling them, but in winter has to take to crossing-sweeping. One day he gets run over by an omnibus and has to be taken to the hospital.
