“24 Slides from Life Models. With Reading.

A poor woman is hard at work stitching shirts to earn a small pittance to keep herself and her son, Ted. Soon, however, she dies, and Ted has to go into the busy world alone. He sells flowers for a livelihood, and manages to get along for a few days. He meets a young lad who takes a fancy to him and invites him to come along with him. Teddy accepts and lodges with Bill. While flowers are in season he continues selling them, but in winter has to take to crossing-sweeping. One day he gets run over by an omnibus and has to be taken to the hospital. He is carefully tended day and night but does not recover, and, with Bill at his bedside, passed peacefully away to rejoin his mother in Heaven.”
