“Farsley - On Monday evening the Rev.W Stott delivered a lecture in the chapel, subject 'A Tour in Switzerland' which was illustrated by limelight views. Mr. Benjamin Johnson presided. There was again a large congregation. During the evening prizes were distributed to about 100 children of regular and punctual attendance at school during the past year. Collections were taken after each service and the lecture in aid of the sunday school fund, which amounted ₤54 5s. 5d., being the largest amount ever raised for this object.”
