‘Temperance’ in Sunday School Chronicle

“St. Giles' Christian Mission. - On Wednesday week, in connection with the monthly meetings of the Gospel Temperance Society of the above mission, a song service, illustrated by fifty dissolving views, and entitled 'The Pilgrim's Progress,' was given in the Mission Chapel, Little Wild-street, Drury-lane. The connective readings were given by Mr. Thomas Menzies, of the United Kingdom Band of Hope Union, which society supplied the views, and the various choruses, & c. were efficiently rendered by the St. Giles Christian Mission Choir of fifty voices.”
