“Keswick. - Congregational Sunday School. - The annual entertainment in connection with Lake-road Sunday School was held on Tuesday evening, Jan 11th. The Rev. Mr. Goddard presented through the magic lantern, the following subjects: 'A Run through Holland,' 'Jessica's First Prayer,' 'Beautiful Snow,' and 'The Cotter's Saturday Night.' The views were made the more interesting that readings intermingled. These were given by Mr. Goddard and Dr. Black. The Rev. W. Kendel, of Darlington, gave an interesting and instructive address. Tea was enjoyed in the earlier part of the afternoon.”
