“Chipperfield - On Wednesday, Jan. 12th, about 130 of the teachers and scholars of the Baptist Sunday School were invited to a knive and fork tea, followed by a magic lantern entertainment, the entire expense of which was borne by J. Ryan, Esq., of Willesden, and W. Turner, Esq., of Chipperfield. At intervals the children sang appropriate hymns, and the pastor, the Rev. S. Couling, and others, made brief remarks. Upon leaving, every child received a bun, an orange, and a quantity of nuts, sweets, &c.”
