“King's Weigh House - The fourth of a series of winter evening entertainments, given by the Band of Hope in connection with this school, took place on Friday, Feb 21st, when a most interesting lecture was delivered by Mr. Charles Wakely, entitled 'Incidents of Peril and Heroism.' The lecture was illustrated by the dissolving views from the United Kingdom Band of Hope Union. Notwithstanding the inclement weather, there was a good attendance, both the lecture and views being greatly enjoyed.”
