“Voyage of the Van 'Canterbury.' Sherborne, near Beasingstoke, St. John's.-It is too soon to state results, but there are reasons for believing that good seed has been sown in the course of the week. On Sunday morning the school was addressed by a cadet; in the afternoon, Capt. Collins catechising the same in Church. At the Evening Service, the Captain also gave an address in the Church. On Monday and Friday the 'Van' meetings seemed well attended, and on Tuesday, the Lantern Lecture in the school was crowded, and the results in every way were good. The Thursday Temperance Lecture was almost monopolised by the C.E.T.S. Van Missioner. Whatever the results may be, the work has been faithfully done. Devereux W. Chute, Rector of Sherborne, St. John's near Basingstoke.”
