“The cross still attracts: On Jan. 11, the concluding Service of the Mission which Capt. Blundy and Cadet Smith have been holding in this Parish since Jan. 5, was held in the Board Schoolroom, and we all are grieved that the Van has to move on to another Parish. The Services and Addresses have been most interesting and impressive, especially that on Saturday evening, when there was a Lantern Service on the latter part of the life of our Lord. The Addresses given by Capt. Blundy were so entirely devotional and practical, and the beautiful pictures shown, while solemn hymns were sung at intervals, were so touching that it must have made a deep, and I trust a lasting impression, not only on the feelings, but also on the hearts of those present. The attendance on that night, and also on Sunday afternoon, was very good, and the last meeting the room was crowded to overflowing. [...]”
