Church Army Van (unspecified) – organiser
“Grundisburgh, Suffolk.-Church Army Van.-We arrived at this place on the 2nd, having come at the invitation of the rector, Rev. Canon Hedley. We have held open-air meetings from the front of the Van each night, except Sunday, when we held an open-air meeting in the afternoon, and in the evening a meeting in the parish room, whis was crowded to excess. On the 9th we took the large school-room for the purpose of holding a magic lantern lecture, which was also well attended, the Rector in the chair. £1 10s. 6d. was realised for the Evangelistic and Social work. An agent has offered to sell the C.A. GAZETTE. Many outward signs have been witnessed of the salvation of souls. We left with the good wishes and prayers of the people of Grundisburgh, for Fakenham, Norfolk. For Capt. Chapman, officer in charge.”
