“'Hardworking Christians': This parish has just had a visit from the Church Army Van under Capt. G. L. Haynes, who is a most earnest and hardworking Christian; he worked hard, both at visiting in the parish and preaching to us the simple truthsof Christianity. The Lantern Lectures (lantern managed by Cadet Lane, who also worked hard at visiting the houses) were very much enjoyed both by adults and children. (...)”
