“'The Boards That Preached': The C.A. Van has been standing over a fortnight, by kind permission of Mr. George Hawkes (...). It is hardly possibley to speak in detail of the work, but the Saturday evening lantern services must be mentioned, and the most interesting lecture on the work of the C.A. The Map of England, showing the numerous centres of work, was a wonderful object leson, as to the great work which the CA - in the words of Archbishop Temple - of the very core of the Church is accomplished today(...)”
